1933 Ranch at American Airlines Arena
It is one thing to design for companies that already have decades of history and established brand guidelines. But what do you do when your client is starting from scratch?
1933 Ranch is the bar and lounge of 1933 Liquor Co. One of Anheuser-Busch’s many distributors. Having worked with America’s premier alcohol company for decades, they wanted to try their hand at opening one of their own locations in the heart of Texas.
They wanted a bar evocative of the old west, while avoiding the feeling of being in a cowboy saloon. Digging into their Southwest roots had me pulling out swatches for distressed wood, rough-hewn copper, real leather chairs, and colors of that endless Texas sky.
In the end I was able to bring the best parts of the ranch to the arena, while leaving the cowboy at home.
